Taking this newsgroup as an example, there are only five posts in this
entire thread (as far as I can see), none of which are from trolls.

Benjamin Gufler, etc) what percentage of their traffic truly is that spam?

I suspect it's very low but maybe it's very high for all I know.

Given I agree with those that spamming should be blocked at both ends, but
certainly at our end with reasonable filters so as not to feed them, how
