I am not sure of what "Apocalypse" you mean, but I consider WWIII (for
example) a possibility and/or a deep depression a possibility and/or

Actually, it was the 14th amendment and the Civil War that caused the
damage. [I do believe that slavery would have become abolished
eventually ... starting of course with harsher Jim Crow but eventually
causing us less federal control over EVERYTHING. But I could be wrong.
Maybe federal control was inevitable.

There again, both sides do all of that. Around here, it is the

Sort of misses the point when the subject is abortion ... Roe v Wade was
a horrible but necessary compromise on the subject. Does not please
anyone completely, but is better than the nothing we have. [It was
indeed unconstitutional but it should be restored ... maybe the SC will
come to their senses and it will return even though it will still be
unconstitutional.] It is a state issue ... but all sides want their
side to be the law. So you have states denying any abortion and some
wanting to allow babies killed as they exit the womb.

MOST day to day things do not involve national security. The fed does
not need to do EVERYTHING ... and there are few areas left for the
states to do by themselves. I live in a majority black neighborhood in
a predominately black area/city and our neighbors are just fine. But
the poverty rate is quite high and there are many off the books folks
living a poor but sustainable life. It is not the norm but it works for
them.

There are many to choose from, of course.

For me, the biggest problem is what facts all sources choose to report
and which facts they choose to repeat and emphasize and which facts they
ignore. You see things on MSNBC that do not appear on Fox News and vice
versa. And how things are reported affects, to me, the message being
conveyed. Opinions often are reported like facts.
