Semi tropics... it is sub tropics. But perhaps Florida is semi tropical. I am in the horse latitudes. I believe sub tropics start at 20 degrees and tropics at 10. Now go out there and sell those globes!

I don't like the cold either. But it's all relative. I came back from L.A.. to Allentown on Oct. 26th, 1991. As the bus was going through the countryside outside Allentown I took note of the trees. The leaves were over 3/4s gone. The overall look was etched in my brain.

Now living down here that same look starts about 3 weeks later. In the Spring, same thing, the way the trees look down here happens up around Allentown 3 weeks later. So in all that's 6 weeks less winter. It gets cold here and can get severe at times. But compared to parts north it doesn't last as long. Sort of like getting the flu - it's just as bad but doesn't last as long.

When it comes to weather I just float along. I know one thing, so far this area seems disaster free to me. I certainly didn't move here for that reason, but it's sort of temperate zone. Major shit seems to avoid this area. Not always though. There has been the occasional mild tornado (if there is such a thing). But they are rare. No quakes. No mudslides. No raging fires. No hurricanes. Just a bunch of people creating their own disasters.

It was the cover of the National Inquirer. I just happened to glance at it. I never open them. The headlines are better than the articles.
