I know whatchu mean. I live in a 1-BR apartment with a toilet and no access
to a utility room for mops or even a dishwasher — I'm telling you this becuz
the level of infestation and habitability have so deterioated that I often
have to leave with my sleeping bag to insert everything I sleep with into a
dryer to get some relief from bed bugs — not to mention cockroaches.

My closet is an Egypt plagues of white moths coming out of my clothing. My
dishes are all piled up in the sink because I don't really care anymore. I
live in a dump because I want to live in a dump. I am a poor schmuck and
people laugh at me. My landlord hates me and wants me dead. I need to get
outta Dodge. Have you ever tried to talk to flies? I have so many in my
dirty apartment that I think some of them are my personal friends. I rarely
wear clean clothes because I prefer the smell of ripe shit and body odor. I
rarely brush my teeth because I have lost most of my teeth already — so why
should I waste my time on the teeth that are left? I also have an
infestation of mice that come into my apartment somehow. They eat out of
the pizza boxes I have left around this filthy place I live in. I live in
this hell hole because I am a total loser with no money.

Funny, I've seen thousands of old movies but have never watched a Charlie Chan all the way through. Same with Sherlock Holmes. I like the old Holmes with Rathbone, but guess I lack patience. Some of the lines are good and funny too. Maybe I'll get around to Chan one of these days.
