Ollie, I have read and heard zero about the Baldwin affair other than somebody died and the gun was in his hand. I love not knowing. I got nothing against Dick Simmons. About 30 years ago my brother put on a Simmons ab workout video. I laughed at it. But within less than a minute I had to quit. Simmons had some energy. As much as Jack LaLanne if not more. But lately he is nowhere to be seen. This could be due to "Dick Clark Syndrome" (DCS), where people age suddenly like overnight. I know, I've got it myself. So Dickie boy is staying at home a lot lately. His reality image is probably disturbing. A super strong corpse that goes on living even after death has set in, so well conditioned is the body beforehand. I could be wrong. Maybe Richard wants some peace. Some alone time. Is there anything wrong with that? No. So I'm going to get off his back for now, not that I was ever on it. When I worked at the carnival they had one guy who was pretty good delivering stock comments designed to inflame people at the "Dunk the Clown" setup. Some people playing the game have been known to get so riled up they would wait to challenge the guy when his show closed down. I laughed out loud again last week going through the market checkout aisle and saw a celebrity rag with a photo of a bearded Alec Baldwin above the caption: "Is Baldwin a killer?"

Actually, that was not the caption - I can't recall the exact words which implied that Baldwin was a killer without actually saying it. I love that, always did - the concept of a rag that hints negative stuff about the celebs inside with the cover story and accompanying photo being story number one.. The best method is to publicly come to a celebrity's defense over a charge that never existed till the publication thought it up. An example would be, "When will stupid people stop insinuating that Sylvester Stallone is gay?" You quote anonymous sources as making such claims, then come to Sly's defense in your article.
