I disagree. I think both sides will realize what morons the other side's
are and will feel victorious, although their aren't any prizes to claim.
As a person of Polish heritage, I've been the recipient of numerous
'Polak jokes' so I know personally what it's like to be labeled a moron.
After a while you come to believe it, until that day come when you
encounter a real idiot (read Negro) and you realize you're not a moron
after all. I think?

The Poles were picked as joke subjects in lieu of Nigger, Spic, Gook, and Jew jokes, because around that time it was trendy and cool to against ethnic humor in public. Thus the Dumb Pollack jokes became the rage because (a), there weren't enough of them to make a ruckus over it, and (b), nobody gave a crap anyway. I don't see anything offensive about the Pollack jokes other than most of them suck no matter what ethnic group they're directed at. They are childish. I believe deeply in truthful humor with no hold barred. Anything goes. If any particular ethnicity has not yet outgrown it's stupid past, then it deserves to be ridiculed, and hopefully in time the message will come through to these overtly and falsely proud ethnic types, playing an old game that wise guys like me don't want any part of. If it's got just an ounce of truth to it, then let it zing and let it sting.

Funny you should say this now when just the other day I was thinking the same thing - it's time to get serious. I was not talking about you or other people, just myself - it's time for me to get serious. From now on that's what I'm going to do. It will probably result in less posts from me, but they will all be born of the truth, and from that truth will spring not just raw seriousness but also other goodies like humor and happiness and other stuff that comes with truth. See what I mean? I think I'm already getting through to you. I can sense it. I feel the vibe. It's faint but it's growing. Soon we will be as one, our thoughts, our dreams, our desires, and our purpose. Which now begs the question, "What exactly is the purpose?" I will let you know in my next post. Stay tuned.
