To be able to get up now and then and stretch out would be nice. And I'm rooting for him all the way - as long as he remembers he's not alone when it comes to suffering, that I too have had my share and deserve sympathy too................... So on that note all I can say is I hope everyone on earth gets well soon. With Ollie coming first and me closely behind him.

By the way, speaking of death, I checked into the group at 5pm and was all set to post when suddenly the electricity went out. It stayed out for 3 and 1/2 hours. I'm not throwing away any food, that's for sure. All appliances shut down including the computer I was all set to use. Later when power was restored I turned on the computer and had to hit the start button in back. It went pretty fast. Then when I got to the group it conked out on me. I started the computer again and sat there watching the small line in the horizontal bar startup bar move then slowly come to a halt. I pulled the cord on the machine and tried again. Same thing. I figured that's it, the machine is shot. But I don't give up that easy. I pulled the plug again. Only this time I gave it a good half minute instead of plugging it right back in. Oh what a difference that made. I hit the start button and everything went fast. I really thought my machine had died on me. Incredible how much we rely on electricity. No AC. Fine. No fan, not so fine. I had the AC on when the electricity went out. No TV. No radio. Nothing. Just me not knowing what to do. I guess in the end I'm as big a follower as the rest of the sheep even though I always viewed myself as something a bit more special. I wondered, "What am I going to do without a computer?" Soon I think I'll be asking the same question about my TV. It's an oldie. I mean real old. Guy I used to drive cab for gave it to me about 3 years ago. One day it'll go. When I don't know. That mystery applies to lots of things, doesn't it my friends?

6 months is old for electronic junk. I am in the stone age with this PC. I can't keep up and I wont try.

I'm just holding on, going with faith. If my TV goes down I feel something will come my way in time. Same with a computer. Both come with stress. Especially now with me and old TV's requiring the cable company's converter box. If the TV I have now goes down and I get another one I might need to change boxes and remotes, the whole deal. Sure, rooftop reception sucked compared to cable, but there was more freedom to electronic stuff back then. You bring the TV home and plug it in and that's it. Same with a radio.. All these fucking wires and plugs bringing me the stuff I want to see or read only serve to make me more aware of just how fragile everything is. There is very little of anything I have owned in my life that was new. And I'm not crying, not one bit. I am proud to say at this moment I do not own a single pawnable item. Maybe this computer. If so that's it. Anyway, I'm in your camp, I will not try to keep up. But remember, in your efforts to not keep up there will always be others behind you trying to get ahead, so many of them in the stampede that no matter how badly you want out you can't get out - trapped in a narrow space with a miles long line of stampeders bearing down on you and nothing but walls on both sides like the running of the bulls at Pamplona Spain.

I think the Go Fund Me page is good enough. I don't want a bunch of celebrities around using Ollie or this group for their own face time. Sure in the end it might pay off, but there could be strings attached. I am in deep with lots of entertainment people. I know how they operate. They do lots of stuff just for charity. But some of them get nasty when they become older. They become demanding and downright vicious, even aggressive and murderous. Don't let this go any further - and I'm not revealing any names - but there are quite a few recorded incidents where some big name celebrities who have fallen on hard times have contacted some of the charities they've given to over the years, and are demanding compensation for their past generosity or things could become violent. I like your idea of fund raising for Ollie but am worried about involving celebrities in the mix. On the surface they are helpful - the quickest and easiest road to the big bucks. But in the end you're going to pay out your nose for their help. Better we do this on our own. Yes, that's it - we can, we must, and we will take care of our own.

I liked Tiny Tim in a way. I mean even his voice. I remember his wedding with Miss Vicky on national TV although I did not watch it. Please believe me, I did not watch it. I had an actual life back then and did not watch a lot of TV. Not planned watching anyway, you know, like, "Hey it's almost 7:30, put on channel 9, Jeopardy is coming on." You are correct, the straight laced Ono would never have tolerated Tiny's sick sexual fantasies. But for many years she did tolerate the sickly anorexic pasty-faced peace-loving physique of John Lennon. But for enough money I would eat a glass of human shit on national TV. I'll bet there are a lot of arranged marriages in show business. And (in most cases), the longer they're married the more it means the guy is gay and the woman knows a good thing when she sees it.

My uncle Fred used to always say, "Love is a temporary flow of shit to the brain." He thought it was funnier than it was. But I get it. Point is, he finally got married at some point after he turned 60. A woman he used to go with years before back in Allentown. He wanted out of L.A. anyway. So he went back and they got married. I showed up after leaving L.A. - came with my friend Charles from L.A. back to Allentown. I had never been to a wedding before. I went because I knew it would be a relaxed affair. Anyway, I knew he did not really want to get married, he just felt some kind of security in it. And it wasn't about money because he had as much or more than she did. But she had a place, roots, etc. Anyway, I could tell - and I think he could tell I could tell - that deep down he still believed in the temporary flow of shit to the brain theory. Went to c wedding this past Friday. Civil ceremony but there was a small celebration. I suffered through it knowing the groom will suffer far more in the years ahead.

I've had them in the cab many times where for months it's all they talk about is the upcoming ceremony. A grand affair. It's gonna be big. They say it's all downhill after the honeymoon. I say it's starts way before that. Just the idea of needing some kind of ceremony indicates desperation of some kind. hitched, they had more than 700 people at their wedding. They've been
blissfully married now for 41 years now (although papa has been
incarcerated for the past 3 1/2 years). They produced 15 children, have
22 grandchildren, and I'm sure wouldn't trade a minute of it for

Interesting windup - could apply to anything - not wanting to trade what you've got for something else - claiming it, yes - but when the opportunity arrives it's a take it as it is deal with no switching back. That is when we find out who really wants to change. I say very few people would risk changing their lives. Even people in really bad shape. You have to be deep in beyond the threshold of pain to cry for a switch. Like tied down on a slab being tortured for example. Sure, at that point what risk is there to risk? Might as well go for it. You're being tortured out of your mind - but not far enough to escape its blistering reality - and all you want is out.. "Yes, yes", you cry, "I am willing to switch, to trade with someone else.. For the love of God please make it happen now." You know how once you own a certain car all of a sudden it starts to look like a lot of people drive them. Not a bad thing, just something hard not to notice. It's the same with the limp I get from this leg. Not until the other day - not only in the medical facility but at regular stores blocks away - did I notice how many people limp. Now, to what level is another matter. But there are lots of people with lots of problems. Drug aisles in the markets really bring it home - not just drug stores, all kinds of markets actually - row after row of pain/allergy/cold/hemorrhoids meds. Lots of people sick out there. But still, I think some of them are seeking absolute perfection. What really makes me sick is how hard it is to find hard narcotic drugs for legitimate use, even if maybe abused later, when it's so easy to find row after row of this OTC bullshit that most of the time doesn't work so well and also causes lots of proba dobba down the road.

They all claim to feel your pain but they do not know what pain is. I hear your pain but do not feel it. That is all I am willing to do. I got my own pain. And if you keep complaining I will give you more pain.
