It's funny and also scary the way the various minorities align themselves with each other but in the end are enemies for sure. Like a bunch of countries getting together to take down a big one like Russia and the US and Britain and others did to Germany, their victory celebrations short lived as in no time they were at war with each other, even if only cold war style. Taking on allies is risky business. The Yellow man will need allies to take on true victim status like the Negro, the Jew, and the Female and the Spic. But he is smart. "The Ank" was an Arab. Canadian Arab. But no one is pure. Yes, he has some chink blood in him. He admits this only to those he trusts. As a Hollywood insider I gained his trust years ago. But he never gained mine because I could see through his bullshit. Not at first, only later, after he stole "My Way" from me only months after I wrote it. I recited it to him one day and he ridiculed it. Not in a bad way, just said the public is not ready for it. "It needs support", he said, "no one makes a record without help." He knew what he was talking about, being a semi big name in the music industry, so I believe him. Then one day I learned from friends that he had come out with a new record called "My Way" using the very same lyrics and tune I had demonstrated to him months before. I called him but he would never answer the phone. "Sue him", my friends said, "take the son of a bitch for all he's got."

"I ain't suing anybody", I told them. "I will handle this on my own. No lawyers. No experts. Just me. And I'm going to do it my way."

Never saw the Ank live. I did see Tony Bennet a few years back. He was already quite old. Very laid back performance. It was fun to see him. He sang I farted in sam crabs disco.

I saw Anka as a kid. I didn't care much. I was pretty young, pre teens maybe. I was not aware of it then, only afterwards looking back - but lots of known names at that time could never tour on their own, they had to go with a group, especially the lesser known. If you weren't Elvis Presley or Ricky Nelson (maybe a few select others), you had to travel in a group. One day a group of about 10 semi well known pop singers came to Allentown to perform a matinee at a small movie theater with a stage. They lip synced the songs. I didn't care about that, I didn't even think about it. I don't think anyone cared. It was inexpensive and I'm seeing people I've seen on TV and heard on records. I think Anka was one of them. I remember being disappointed that none of the really big names were there. I am not a big fan of music performance. I enjoy it in the background. Good stuff. But easy to take. Then every so often something really moving comes on and I'm grooving on it. I see concerts as almost enslaving. But hey that's me.

I was lucky living in Hollywood, took a lot for granted. I was in some bars where suddenly a bunch of known musicians would come in and set up unannounced, at least to me, and it would be very enjoyable. But to pay to go and stand in line and sit with a huge crowd all bopping and jiving to the same shit, reminds me of voodoo witch doctor type stuff along the lines of chanting and shouting group slogans. Going into a disco with the strobe lights zooming, watching a hundred plus heads bobbing up and down at the same time - I don't know, it kind of makes me feel not so positive about life, that's it all about eating and sex to keep the species alive.

LOL, very poetic. Yes, everyone needs that critical moment in their life. Coming out of a big stadium after a sporting event or political rally and being confronted by someone with a gun demanding to know who you were rooting for. Of course under the gun you will say you are neutral. But the guy with the gun knows otherwise. You may even have just come out of a pro choice rally. Now you are facing the truth as the guy's gun barrel is pointed at your face, demanding to know your purpose for being there. "Are you pro choice or do you swing the other way?", he demands. At this point your life becomes very important. You get the guy's point, that all life is important - that from now on you're going to care about all living things including those not yet officially born. You get on your knees and apologize to the guy. You admit the folly of your ways. Your act is sincere because it is no act. The guy lets you go. The next day you are back at the rally, the threats of the guy with the gun a distant memory - the lesson you learned already forgotten.
