Unless a guy is an outright killer or a sadist without rules to hem him in I am usually not afraid of such people. I remember in school one day cursing in front of a girl named Cyblila Strunk - 7th grade - and next thing I knew an ex marine teacher had me by the throat and was choking me in front of the class. He was shaking my head back and forth and I couldn't breathe - George Floyd before George Floyd was even born. But as scared as I was, just looking at the guy's beet red face, the veins in his neck bulging, his head shaking, I just had to laugh. I really had trouble holding it in. I think I let some of it out. I would do the same with a DI. Now, I may not do it with a cop in prison. I may have reservations, I'm not Mr. Tough guy. But some guys in charge, when they get all double twisted up with frustration and anger, as frightening as they can be they can also bring out a lot of very real laughter at the same time.

Gotta be something good that comes out of it for most people discipline wise. Doesn't have to be military, just some kind of iron hand with a few short years out of someone's life to teach them how to work as a fucking team instead of striking out on their own hip hop ghetto style trying to make a big name for themselves in the world of get rich now. We need boot camp without military. But the leaders must be strong enough to instill fear of some kind. To me bootcamp is mostly a 6 month gym membership. I wouldn't mind it even now. But no sadists. No perverts. No bullshit. Am I asking too much? Probably.

It is mostly a mental thing. Fuck with your head. Make it easy to boss around a bunch of people. Obedience training for people. I think there is no harm in it. Lot worse things can be done to people.

I am not joking. I could go for bootcamp. To bed at the same time every night, up at the same time every day. Moving around. Eating what everyone else eats. As long as it's not genuine torture I certainly see the good in it. Some people need it even more than I. I would like to see government sponsored boot camps spring up. They don't have to be military oriented either. In fact I prefer that they're not. But they must be tough and enrollment must be mandatory or there will be assholes trying to beat the system. Aside from guns ho assholes who come back all GI'd out, most guys come back from bootcamp in better shape physically and in other ways than before they went in. I am not against it. Make it mandatory up to age 72. I am 73. Next year when I turn 74 we can up the age to 73. Voluntary enlistment is also allowed. So if I want to join I can. No age limit. I want a bootcamp no on can give the boot to.

I predicted it years ago. Not so big a deal really, easy to see it starting with the all volunteer creeps. Some join because they don't know where they're heading in life, it's a place to give them direction. I get it. But the majority are psychos. I can't prove it and I won't try. Wha'dya think, I'm nuts or something?

I know you don't watch a lot of conventional TV. I watch late at night, mostly, MeTv, a few others. It's mostly pharm and insurance ads with the occasional recruiting thing tossed in. I watched it again last night. It shows two guys arguing in the street. Getting in each other's face. It is intentionally blurred to block out any definite racial identifying. Then one guy takes a leap forward with a wide swinging fist and the screen breaks into fragments and the next thing we see are a bunch of Marines scaling a wall and doing other stuff involving teamwork including one guy on the wall reaching down to pull up a struggling brother. I can't remember the actual words, but the message is something like, "Have something worth fighting for." The commercial uses a few negroes so we know where it's directed. I understand. Society is getting rougher. Those deep in turmoil need an escape. A place to take it out on strange people in strange lands. Anyway, it's obvious. Some may be hoodlums. But some may also be guys who just can't take it anymore, guys who want out, even if it means fighting for their lives on foreign soil. And hopefully dying there so we don't have to deal with their PTSD bullshit when they get back.
