I have found that FudForum will not sync via nntp in Debian 9.

This is due to the newer version of PHP in Debian Stretch, which is more strict than previous versions.

I have found that modifying line 47 of nntp.inc will resolve the issue.

I have not performed thorough testing, but it seems that the 'break' in that line does not need to break out of two (break 2). Just 'break' is sufficient.

I will do more checking, but so far it seems this modification is appropriate. The 'break 2;' may be a holdover from previous versions, or maybe I just don't see why it's necessary (yet).

I'll keep testing but so far I haven't found a problem on my test system.

Good you found that. Would be interesting for the FUD
community too, I guess. I just never got around to open an
account there.
