Where do i2p principles come from?

No dumb but crazy!

Have you ever wonder why 6 routers are the degree of separations between two people on i2p?  The answer lies in the
number theories of the 1700 hundreds but for entertainment purposes here are some funny examples:

Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon has the links you need to get it!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Degrees_of_Kevin_Bacon

Can it be done with 4 routers?  Yes but this is not funny anymore.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_color_theorem

Hope you enjoyed at least the first part.

Six routers is just the default, you can extend or decrease the number of routers on your end (and so can the one on the
other end). Not sure if there is a relationship to the wiki article you cited (still interesting though- I only knew
this as the "small world phenomenon".

Here it is a simple algorithm that explains the basics.
 1. Let's say you have 48 routers.

2. You divide them into 4 colors that can't be adjcent to each other.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Map_of_USA_with_state_names_2.svg
You are Kansas to make it easy.

3. Any coms has to cross the 3 other colors but only 1 neighbor.

4. You can communicate with:
North Dakota (through South Dakota -- Nebraska)
Kentucky and Georgia (through  Tennesy -- Missouri)

For i2p you have lots of neighbors so you integrate a lot easier regardless of tunnel length.
