I am not like that with all shows about the era but I guess because it had kids as the focus I was not interested. So what am I trying to say? Nothing. I got nothing to say. Well maybe something. I did like the Beatles and the Monkees.

I was a kid into my 30s. I suppose I'm not alone. I grew up early in some ways, late in others. Didn't start taking out the garbage on a daily basis till I was in my 30s. Certain responsibilities came to me late. But I too did not waste a lot of time watching TV as a kid. In fact hardly any before my teens. The orphanage had TV one day a week, one hour, Sunday night.. It was a treat. The reform school, similar. But I caught up later. I am seeing some shows today out in the 60s or 70s I never saw before. I am very grateful for not having all this stuff crammed down my throat when I was young. Also, when I got out of the orphanage I moved to Yonkers New York to live with my mother and sister in the projects. She would not allow me to watch TV in the day time. "Go out and play", she would day, "or do I have to call Uncle Ben?" I did not want to go out because there were always a bunch of kids hanging around just waiting for a chance to use me like a toy. At the time I was not happy being forced out into it. But looking back I am glad.
