They are employed as mercenaries by state actor of power and hence they have to fulfill their prepaid job. They know they will have to fulfill their deployments to anywhere either win or lose in the fight.

However, they know they rather not to die in their job, for it is just a salaried job for them to earn a living from using their enjoyment of experiencing of killing people in their war in other countries. They love to kill people and hence they called themselves as mercenaries. They are hired for killing. They are assassinator, rapist, robbers, and widow breakers.

Another issue. American and/or NATO operatives could be trapped in Mariupol.. IF true, they would be the real prize.
Would not be surprised be Austria’s Chancellor Karl Nehamme's meeting with Putin was an effort to seek
their release.

Those mercenaries are now trapped there. They now have been given the chance to surrender by the dateline. Russian forces will spray them to deaths if they failed to obey. US could be using Ukraine to maximize the claims these mercenaries are civilians instead.

When they died they could disguise them as civilians. They could remove the military uniform from the dead bodies and change them to civilian clothing.. They could also laid the bodies in different layouts to show they were killed by Russian forces.

It is not difficult for anyone to write a script of these scenarios so that the dead story of civilians could be faked up and easily placed around by employed movie director and its movie team set like cameramen and lightings workmen.

The dead scene can then movie-recorded by movie cameraman and director and producer. The scene is then shown to visiting minister from the NATO countries and they will then declared the "dead civilian" disguised by civilian as genocide.

Then they will file a criminal law case against Russia for the killing of them as civilians when in fact they were mercenaries employed as pre-paid military combat soldiers for heir experience to fight on behalf of Ukraine at Russia. It is expected for any country to flush and kill those mercenaries and not treated them as foreign civilians.

Hence, a movie script could not being scripted up by the US to let these mercenaries died under fires by Russian forces, and they then go in to change the dead bodies of their military uniform to civilian uniform.

Don't you think such movie script can be created in order to blame Russia's wholesale for the killing of mercenaries.? Once the blame game started, the US and its allies will give more sanctions at Russia again.

Don't know what the US/NATO will or will not do.
Both sides would tell their stories. The issue is whose story is more convincing.

As a result, Russian journalists are lost in theories about the real identity of the people who justify risking so many helicopters to evacuate them from Mariupol. Indeed, it seems strange that Kiev would go to such lengths to evacuate the commanders of Azov and the 36th brigade of the UAF, while the option of retreat has always been refused by the Ukrainian general staff, who prefer their soldiers to become “martyrs”.

However, given Emmanuel Macron’s eagerness to launch an evacuation operation in Mariupol, there is speculation that French intelligence officers or trainers may have been among those to be evacuated from the city, while the areas where Ukrainian soldiers have taken refuge are shrinking and are now isolated (the cauldron has been split in two).
