Festool is getting prepared to introduce a new tracksaw. It is the TSV
60 KEB. This track saw has an additional blade that acts as a scoring
blade. Splinter free cuts should be a thing of the past with this saw.

I'd rather have splinter-free cuts be a thing of the future. ;-)

So you are OK with Splinter Free cut later on but not now?

I do not do finish cuts with a track saw. I use it to break down plywood to sizes that can be handled on the tablesaw. So the new tracksaw would add nothing for me.

Ummm…why wouldn’t it add the ability to do finish cuts?

IOW…if a track saw was able to do finish cuts, why wouldn’t
you change your method?

I do not have an elaborate set up to ensure exact rip and cross cut accuracy with track saw that I get with the table saw. I view the table saw as the gold standard for precise, repeatable cuts, regardless of how good the track saw does finish cuts. I have a Festool tracksaw and a Sawstop industrial table saw.

I view the table saw as the gold standard for precise, repeatable cuts, regardless of how good the track saw does finish cuts. I have a Festool tracksaw and a Sawstop industrial table saw.

I cut a lot of sheet goods and end up with pretty big pieces, ie. 23.75"
by 57", cabinet bottoms. This is difficult to do on a TS as it is
beyond most rip/cross cut capacities. If I can easily make a cut on a
TS, I use the TS but I very often, including the kitchen redo, that I am
in the middle of, make final cuts with the track saw.
Because I have a portable work bench, 40" x 96", to lay sheet goods on I
can very easily make accurate cuts with the track saw. FWIW I DO NOT
use a tape measure to mark my cuts for the track saw. I use a
Woodpeckers story stick.

Will I buy this new Festool saw? Probably not as I get pretty decent
cuts with the TS75 and cross cuts in sheet good are 99% of the time
hidden inside a dado. And if my first cross cut is a shallow one, to
score the veneer, I get little to no tear out. But if I got rid of the
TS I would probably get this saw.

I think the day that you get rid of your TS, I will be attending your funeral. :-)
