How is China's alliance with Afghanistan in rebuilding infrastructure going to benefit China's economy?
There is no alliance between China and the Taliban who now form Afghanistan’s government.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry has clearly told the Taliban that certain conditions must be taken before China will normalize relations with them. These include:

No support for terrorist groups which attack China, Chinese interests or support Muslim extremists in Xinjiang or any other countries;
Treating women as equals, including providing education for them in schools..
There may be other conditions, but I am not sure that China has publicly published them.

At the same time, China has stated that the US should unfreeze the $9B in assets held by the Afghanistan central bank so that emergency food and medicine can be purchased for the Afghan people. China’s position is that the Afghan people should not suffer because the US does not like the Taliban, and that this is humanitarian aid.

The US has so far refused to unfreeze these assets.

To sum up, there is no alliance. China is taking a wait and see attitude to the Taliban.

The Taliban have repeatedly approached China for formal recognition, but China has not yet given them formal recognition.
