Originally Answered: Why is the USA losing its status as the world power?
All empires eventually suffer corruption and fall. The Romans. The Ottomans.. Portugal. Spain. France. Great Britain. Why should USA be the exception?

USA has suffered from massive corruption in recent decades, in particular, since the Reagan years. Government has suffered paralysis due to deep political division. The country has racked up shit-tons of debt — currently at $28 trillion!!!

US Foreign Policy has yielded to the rule of the military-industrial complex. USA has fought massively ruinous wars. Afghanistan is the latest example..

US infrastructure has been crumbling for decades. Public health care is a disaster. Housing, homelessness, education, mass incarceration, systemic racism, gun violence…these are just a few examples of the internal strife that is tearing the country apart.

USA has lost enormous respect in the diplomatic realm. It has broken too many promises. The Iran nuclear deal. Afghanistan withdrawal. AUKUS and the French submarine deal. These are just the latest fiascos.

Donald Trump and the Capitol Hill riots. What a massive embarrassment!

Is there anything that has gone right with America in the last three decades?!!
