As an intuitive scientist I know there are probably a few good conventional scientists out there, but finding them is a needle in the haystack. People have always been idiots - see PT Barnum for proof. But I suspect it's getting worse in some ways because now they are just as stupid as before but think they're smarter due to social media and other instant info that makes them feel on top of stuff. I don't believe any of the stats. I am not sure it's a dangerous as they say. I also believe it could be more dangerous. I just don't know and truly do not care much - at least at this very moment.

From the very beginning without even trying I saw a lot of inconsistencies and holes in the reporting. It's even worse now. Lots of the athletes testing positive for regular COVID had taken all their shots. Shots of what? I am not one who is suspicious of the ingredients, like they're out to poison us or whatever. I just don't think they know as much as they pretend and like most people in most fields are just basically holding onto their jobs at all cost.

I will never take it and I don't believe it will ever come to that anyway. They'll get the workers first. If they don't get the shot they get canned.. People are afraid of getting canned. I just came from the markets and the shelves were looking barren, the so called essential stuff, paper towels and whatnot. I think some people with cars go from store to store stocking up for what they see as a coming famine or something. Could happen. Not sure I care right now. Might when it happens, but not now. I am not at all into the news, way less than ever - and boy am I glad. I bought a USA Today on my trip to the markets. Got home and went through it page by page looking for something to jump out at me. It was nothing but news about last year's Jan 6th "Insurrection" or whatever, front page all the way through except for the sports section. I got maybe 4 articles out of it today. On a good day I can build a pretty decent sized magazine of basically non political stuff. But those days are becoming less and less as the paper becomes one big editorial page. I know it's always been that way to some degree, but in the past they had to be a bit more tricky with it. Today the so-called reporters insert their own thoughts into the middle of a report, really sickening. They also have page after page of articles with a true/false motif. They'll ask a question then answer it, followed by "False" or "True", and it's obvious which way they're going to go, so I don't ever read those except for the first time just to check it out. But at least he was upfront about it. Sort of. I think I told you about him before. He was a bit overweight. But not as much as he though. He simply had a body that would not look good at any weight. We were at the all night newsstand hanging around and Marty was talking about how he joined a gym - every night we'd get an update on it, how much weight he's lost, etc. - and one night as Marty was going through it, a guy named Billy Sontos chimed in, "Marty, it doesn't how much you exercise or how much weight you lose, you're never going to have a Christian body", and everybody including me broke up laughing. Even Marty couldn't challenge it. The truth cannot be challenged - not with success.

I am one of those guys. I am a natural. I can tell if something I say might be funny, but I'm not trying - at least not most of the time. I hope not anyway. I know what you mean though. It's an interesting topic, especially when applied to professionals in the laugh industry. I mentioned it before, a guy getting laughs because of the story itself or the way he tells it without trying to be funny. And every time you laugh he pauses and seems offended with you going, "No, no, I'm not laughing at you, it's just the way you tell it." The guy is a professional comedian and is not one of your favorites on stage. But in real life the funny comes out even when he doesn't try, mostly when he doesn't try. So he says something that is hilarious and is a gem of humor and he doesn't even know it until you tell him. Then he realized, yeah, that is funny, and he begins to use it in his comedy routine. Who wrote the joke, you or him? I say it was collaborative. He said it but did not see the funny in it and never would have had you not told him. You can split credit for the joke or you can fight to the death over it if you want sole ownership.

No Judith. If I want to get down on the Jews I'll do it without making excuses or hiding it. I mentioned that Marty was Jewish only because I'm too lazy to try to describe his appearance but wanted to give my 'readership' something to go on. I am aware that not all Jews look alike. But when I mentioned that Marty wrote jokes, that conjures up thoughts of the entertainment industry, doesn't it? So on the basis of the stereotypical look of the average show biz Jew I chose to simply describe Marty as a Jew rather than waste a bunch of time trying to find the right words.

Back when I was doing standup, open mics, bars, whatever - there was one bar in the Valley with a regular who always showed up with 2 women. He wore a tan colored polyester suit with flaring lapels. Anyway, one time he tells me he really loves my stuff, then says, "Wanna know why?", and I said sure, and he says, "Because you don't none of that Jew stuff." Now you see, some people would see that as insulting or bigoted. I took it as a compliment because I knew what the guy meant. I watch Comedy Central and have watched plenty of stand-up comedians — Tommy
