What is life like in a country ruled by a dictator? Why do so many of your countrymen oppose Lukashenko?
Life in a country ruled by a “dictator” is great, if the dictator cares about his country and its people. And Lukashenko isn’t a dictator like you could encounter in Latin America or Africa, he’s a post-Soviet leader. That’s a big difference.

Almost nobody is starving in Belarus. The utilities cost is minimal because the state is paying for it. The health care is free, though there are commercial health centres as well. The education is free in schools, and very cheap in the universities. Plus, Belarus is a land of law and order.

Why so many of Belarussians oppose Lukashenko? Because they have been cheated by the Western propaganda. Belarus have never lived without the mentioned Communistic achievements, and these simple-minded people believe that nobody would take away their free health care, low utilities cost and decent pensions. In reality, they would lose ALL that immediately.

Fortunately, we’ve got a vivid example of a “colored revolution” in the neighboring country, Ukraine. It’s a land without laws, with unbelievable corruption and crumbling infrastructure. And USA with Russia have launched a civil war there. You’d better ask how the hapless Ukrainians are surviving in their “democracy”!
