This leads me to believe something I suspected from the very start - that you are using us to cling to temporarily till the problems you're having elsewhere are resolved. I suspected from the start when you came to the greatest newsgroup on earth and mentioned the food group - I knew then, remembering your name from prior visits to the group, that you probably had a falling out of some kind with some of the group regulars, and that deep down it is your favorite group and you are desperate for acceptance by all who post into it. My suspicion is confirmed as I see you are posting once again regularity into that group with annoying regularity bordering on cult-hood (after publicly claiming, at least to us, that our group was the best ever). I knew it was bogus. I have decided to keep posting into this group and also at times the other. I used to post to alt.obituaries, a really good group at one point with the usual set of snobs of course, same as most groups except for this one. We are different here. But not everyone can be like us. Anyway, I will post to your favorite group same as I always did, but this time, without going overboard, I will post without placing a stupid "Off TOPIC" warning in the title. I will just launch into what I have to say and if they like it that's good, if they don't that's ok too.

I am partly joking but am also serious about you needing to belong at your favorite group whose name you may notice I have not mentioned. I think it's funny though. I knew it the moment you arrived at our group that you were using us the way a dude or chick rejected by their favorite lover finds someone else really fast to take their place, but only temporarily, while hoping for the original to re-accept them.

Sure, you will see me posting into your favorite group. I have done it before. Sounds cool. But will they accept me on a full-time basis? Are you sure? Good, I'll give it a whirl tomorrow. What should I post about? Should I introduce myself? Are there any unmentioned rules I need to know about? What is their FAQ? For the love of God help me! Wow, that was a mouthful in short order. I love the combination compliment and dig. Open and honest (good) about stuff any shithead (bad) can understand. It's like Ma Joad said about her people, but now it applies to us - "We ain't going nowhere, Ollie - because we're the people!" I posted into the food group the other day. Got some decent responses. But the people there have been with each other for so long that, like those on the old standup group, that anyone new is looked on with suspicion and derision. But I guess in any populated newsgroup you're going to get that. The ones devoted to certain things - mechanics or whatever - it's hard to see them continuing to exist without extending their borders a bit. But I guess they're all different. I am not a newsgroup historian but have seen a few that are well organized and stick to the topics at hand. But that's because they never step out of bounds to start with. Some of the fuckers in the food group will post off topic stuff all the time and feel it's ok because they put "OT" in the title bar. You are right though, it seems the thing most lacking in these groups that have strayed a bit (which I am not against), is honesty. Lots of debates, but no real honesty. Very boring. And "No outsiders allowed", especially if they make sense.

LOL.............. You are not a troll and you know it. I have spent more time in comedy clubs than most of the fuckers on the comedy group, yet they did not accept me either. I did not care, I enjoyed the conflict to a degree. But I did not start it. I was not a troll and I didn't see you as one either. Those people had been posting together so long that they actually got together in Hollywood for a weeklong party at the Orchid Hotel. I believe that after they got to know each other 'personally', anyone else entering the group was considered an outsider or a threat. This is one of the dangers of getting to know too many people in a personal way. Too many friends, you deserve to die. I like this group but not in it's present condition. But I will not abandon you. And you better damn well not abandon me either. I posted the other day into another group, one I told you about in the past. I am in one thread only and it's still alive. I am viewed suspiciously by some at that group too. I guess that's standard operating procedure for most newsgroups. But there are some there that like me. One guy said he was glad to see me posting, said he likes my offbeat perspective on things. All it takes is one person to like me and I'm hooked. But this is my group. Trust me. Stick with me. Something treacherous is going down, I can feel it. People seem more robotic now than ever. The younger they are the more robotic it seems. Odd. People seem more scared than ever. Maybe I have made light of it as I have with many things, but it's not so much that as I'm just tired of hearing about it. I don't need to be slapped more than two times to have some idea what the third one's going to feel like, and the same applies to all manner of suffering and so forth. I have had my share. I don't need to hear the stories because I've been there, not only in this life but in others. I knew people who were in the camps. I'm from Allentown Pa which at that time was mostly German - Pennsylvania Deutch. I have nothing against the German people and am sick of hearing about the holocaust and refuse to hear more about it unless the story is outstanding and entertaining whether it's true or false.

I swear sometimes I don't think you read my posts. I told you before, you probably access the group direct from your computer. If you pump alt.birdwatching into the google bar (unless you use something else), it's gong to take you to a bunch of different groups and so forth, and after opening all of them and finding nothing from you, or in some cases nothing from anybody in years because the groups are defunct - if you pump any form of birdwatching into the bar you're going to get confused. Why not just send me the direct link to the group itself, if that's possible?
