What are the countries that recognize the Uighur genocide?
On 21st Oct 2021, US, France & allies (43 countries) tabled the unfounded allegation of Uighur genocide against China at the 3rd Committee of the 76th session of UN General Assembly. Ambassador Zhang Jun refutted those accusations. More than 150 countries echoed China’s position (including Cuba on behalf of 62 countries). US & allies attempt to smear China’s Human Rights situation (Uighur genocide) was again defeated.

Surprisingly Kuwait (representing 47 Muslim countries) supported China’s strategy/treatment of Uighur/Muslim. Muslim countries praised China’s reeducation program for those radicalised Muslim as successful to reduce terrorist attack incidents in China. All Muslim countries do not recognise such issue of Uighur genocide. Kuwait made statement stressing the objective, constructive & non political principle on Human Rights issues & call upon all states to follow the purposes & principles of the UN Charter & Universal Declaration of Human Rights & to respect national sovereignty & non interference in internal affairs. Issue on Tibet, Xinjiang & Hong Kong are internal affairs of China. More than 20 countries made statement supporting & spoke highly of China’s achievement in development of Human Rights.

Since 2019, US & allies have attempted to smear China on Uighur genocide 3 times in UN General Assembly. These allegations failed as they were firmly opposed by vast majority of countries. Without success/support in UN, US & allies want to stage a “political” boycott in coming Beijing Winter Olympic game. Disregard universal law & verdict, these allies are flexing their political muscles. What a bully?
