I have given thought to the term and what it means a few times, but never enough to give a whirl to finding out. I assume the term "shrink" means they shrink down everything but the problem. They shrink the skull down to get to the brain. Once inside the brain the Shrink injects his patients with melted nightmare dust that makes them go totally nuts so he can have them committed to the State Hospital where an army of high end doctors pay him big time bucks for every newcomer he brings in.
