Something serious happened to the nuclear submarines when some sailors
inside were injured.

Make no mistake, the submarine "struck an object" and the injured crews
were bumped off their bed or workplace, and they hit the bulkhead.

The submarine could be truing itself to standstill in the depth of the
sea to relax and sleep.

This is when it suddenly hit a mound on the seabed causing the submarine
to shake and sway from side to side.

South China Sea is China's territorial waters and hence China would know
the location of the accident.

It seems the damage is significant enough to force into a permanent
retirement.

The reason is the submarine is still not able to leave Okinawa base for
Guam and then back to Seattle base.

The nuclear rod in the chamber in the submarine is shaken and probably
not back in good order.

Therefore, the submarine could be bodily hurt, and hence, the structure
is not ready to move on to Guam.

Looks like, the submarine needs to be towed all the way Okinawa to Guam
and then to its base in Seattle.

The nuclear submarine will be out of action for years and is likely to
be retired, too.
