The dangerous path is when the two sides are continuing in dangerous paths.
Hence one has to plan to invade to topple Taiwan's DPP leader and seize
Taiwan to end it.

The two sides are not the PRC and the ROC (Taiwan) but the US and Taiwan.
One salient feature of Western democracies are posturing by political leaders.
Both the US and Taiwan want to portray the so called Chinese aggression to
each other and the world. For the US, it badly needs external enemy to unit
its badly polarized internal politics. Taiwan's Tsai certainly also needs an
aggressive China to bolster its popularity. Hence both the US and Taiwan
would act and speak to trigger Chinese activities which could be sold as
aggressive.

Behind the external rhetoric is wishful thinking (each with its own ghost embryo).
The US wishes China could attack Taiwan. A move which would weaken China,
short term and long term. Taiwan's DDP on the other hand wishes the US and China
could fight. A move which would also weaken China and increase Taiwan's chance
of independence.

In contrast, China is only a passive player. It has no choice but to prepare for all
eventualities. And to show its resolute determination and its the capability to
re-unify Taiwan under all circumstance.

The danger of war would only become real IF and Only IF
1) the US as well other world power reverse position on the One China principle that
there is only One China currently represented the PRC and the US would not support
2 independent China or One China and
One Taiwan, and
2) Taiwan is foolish enough to declare independence.
