I am about to take a two mile walk to the markets because I am totally out of food. The place is neat and tidy but a dust pit. The dust comes from me. I'm allergic to it. I guess that means I'm allergic to myself. I am not looking forward to this walk as it's been nearly a week without one except for a short 5 minute stroll to the downtown convenience stores. If you don't hear from me tonight, I guess that means I'm dead or in the hospital (same thing).

Kind of cold out there. But the sun is out. Ready to go down soon though. Wearing shorts, don't have any long johns and never use long pants. But I'm a tough guy and will endure as always.

I realize now I'm bringing all this shit down on myself - lying in bed for days at a clip the last few years, then getting up and taking a big walk to "get back in shape", which never bothered me before - not to this degree anyway. I am still alive but it was one grueling day. It shouldn't be grueling. But it is. From lying bed and withering away, then getting up and using my atrophied muscles and bones to get moving. It finally caught up with me. The same way it caught up with Dick Clark - like overnight.

May I offer a suggestion that may solve two people's problems in this
newsgroup. You Thomas have some physical issues that perhaps you can use
some assistance with. A few extra dollars in your pocket wouldn't hurt
either. Bozo is in a constant state of war with his landlord and his
neighbors. Would it not make sense if you and Bozo got an apartment
together in a decent area? I'm sure you can find something decent
between $1,000 - $1,200. Together you can afford the rent and each still
have extra spending money. The two of you can help the other with their
problems, and from that a close bond will form. This could be the
beginning of a beautiful friendship, but only if the both of you let it.

Thanks for the sweet (and possibly phony) words, but I think you've got me figured wrong. I don't need more cash in my pocket. I'll certainly take it if it comes my way but I'm not looking for anything including money if I can manage without the work. You're talking about $1,000 to $2,000 monthly rent. I'm living on $793.00 a month, plus food stamps, about $100. I am content. But as I said, I'm not a phony about it, I'm not someone trying to look like an anti materialist, I'll take it if it comes my way, but I'm not working or hunting for anything if I can get away with it. Number two - I don't live with other people. I have. I have begged to sleep on people's floors. But I'm not complaining. I put myself in that position by resisting work. When not working became a full time job I turned to driving a cab. I was a great driver. I liked moments from it. But as a whole I naturally hated it all the way because it was a job. When I finally hit 65 and became eligible for age related SSI I jumped at it. I couldn't wait to get old enough to get in. Like in a Twilight Zone episode, who knows, back when I was 35 I might have made a pact with the Devil (or God) to receive just enough to live on, which is now the case, in exchange for 30 years of my life. By the way, when I say I hate living with other people, I know I'm not alone. Lots of people want to live alone. Too bad they can't.
