When I went on a student tour of Europe in 1967, my parents and their
friends told me to pack at least 1 roll of tp because I'd regret using
the local stuff for weeks afterwards. I thought they were snobbish,
spoiled, elitists (don't many teenagers think that of their parents and
their parent's generation?) but I complied. So happy I did. The local
stuff wasn't worthy of being used to line the bottom of a birdcage.
After the second day of the tour, many of my companions who didn't know
or didn't bother to pack tp weren't able to sit still for the duration
of the tour.

I think the best of the stuff was about 80 grit - and 400 is too
agressive - - - The olf eatons catalogs used in the "2 holer" on
Grand-dad's farm back in the fifties was better - I remember the old
telephone book being a prized catch - - -.
