I just watched Joe Mannix slapping a bald guy's head back and forth. They showed it from the rear. Joe was working the guy's face. The guy was not entirely bald. He was one of those halo-head types with a big circle of bald right in the center, like Larry Fine but with short hair. Unlike Fine, was a tough guy. Even when they first showed Mannix slapping from the front, the guy still looked tough. But once they showed it from the rear it became instant comedy. Something about the bald head is funny - weak, open and vulnerable. I think it's because the skull is exposed, bringing us closer to the ugly truth of the raw human skull and what it reveals about us, yet able to laugh at it all the way. The TV detective Frank Cannon had a huge bald spot on the back of his head. He was one tough monkey. But sometimes his adversaries would turn the tables on him, turning him into a human punching bag. Not only are you right, I even thought of it when I used Fine as an example.. Not just because of the poundings he took from his stooge mates, but because I didn't know the guy personally. I like the ones where the guy in charge - yeah, right! - Bud Abbot or Oliver Hardy usually - have their charge in the ring with a pro boxer to pick up some spare change. Costello or Hardy are getting the crap beat out of them but Abbot and Oliver Hardy keep telling them to fight on with comments like, "He's nothing - you're not hurt - you got him right where you want him - he's getting tired." Oh, an instigator eh? I knew a guy named Wally the Whale at the Hollywood poolroom who was a sinister practical joker. I believe a person can go pretty far with practical jokes if he is at least able to take credit for it when it's over. Wally was not that way. A guy named Hawaiin Brian used to play pool with his shoes off. I saw Wally look at me and giggle. He left the poolroom. I saw him mess with people a variety of times. But he was a weird one. He didn't have to stick around to see the consequences. He would leave. I always found that odd, as hard to believe as a torturer telling his assistants to "Finish him", then leaving the room without even watching. I don't believe that. But I guess it's possible, because Wally (Rhymes with Ollie) did kind of the same thing when he'd commit some vile practical joke and leave without catching the show. Maybe the one in his head is even better. I think he left to remove himself as a suspect. This works for a number of years until someone is pranked bad and demands to know who did it. "I don't know", says one guy. "But haven't you noticed, overtime this kind of shit happens, Wally's not around." So he becomes suspect number one on the basis of not being there.

Of course egging on is not the exact same thing, but it's in the same category. Isn't it? Well, isn't it?

Wow, I just read my post and noticed I forgot to mention what Wally did to the guy who had removed his shoes. He poured water into them. Incredible to leave out so important a thing while relating the story.

I think that would be a good scene in a movie. A practical joke like that in a room with other people When the guy goes to put on his shoes he boils over. "Who did it?", he yells. "Was it you? No? How about you, asshole, was it you?", going from one person to the next grabbing them by the shirt and demanding to know who did it. In the meantime the guy who did it has already departed the premises, as is his habit. The movie moves fast - faster than my post. A variety of nasty practical jokes take place over a period of time. Everyone who hangs at the location has seen at least one sinister prank committed by the vile jokester. But it never sinks in. Until finally one day a guy has a joke pulled on him and is going nuts yelling at everyone in sight, "Who did it?", before it suddenly hits him, the absence of the jokester. "I know who did it", he announces to all in sight. Then he turns to crowd, many among them his friends, and lectures them on his newfound knowledge: "Instead of asking suspects, "Where were you when the crime was committed", they should ask, "Why weren't you there?"

Everyone who hangs at the location has seen at least one sinister prank committed by the vile jokester. But it never sinks in. Until finally one day a guy has a joke pulled on him and is going nuts yelling at everyone in sight, "Who did it?", before it suddenly hits him, the absence of the jokester. "I know who did it", he announces to all in sight. Then he turns to crowd, many among them his friends, and lectures them on his newfound knowledge: "Instead of asking suspects, "Where were you when the crime was committed", they should ask, "Why weren't you there?"

That is the best way to do it. Can't blame who you can't see.

The police have over 100 suspects locked up in the same holding cell. A cop is telling his superior, "That's all of them, every last person who was there. All the suspects."

Then from the cell comes a cry: "How about somebody who wasn't there, maybe they did it?"

"How could they do it without being there?", says the head cop.

"I'm not saying they weren't there", says the voice from the cell. "I'm saying maybe they left before you got there."

"These guys are nuts", says the arresting officer to his superior. "Let's keep them locked up till one of them confesses."

"No, wait", says the superior, "the guy has a point. It could have been anybody, it doesn't always have to be somebody who was there."

"Very well, Sargent, so what do you want us to do?"

"I want you to go out and arrest everyone who wasn't there when it happened.. And I mean everyone. Stop them on the street - male, female, young or old, doesn't matter - stop them and ask them if they were there when it happened. If they say no, arrest them?"

Then to all in attendance he barks, "Come on. Chop chop, let's go, let's go. Let's get those paddy wagons rolling."

Saw an ad for CVS pharmacy the other night - "Come on in and get your free COVID shot, also 19 other vaccinations on site." Shingles, Hepatitis C or D or whatever - all kinds of shit we're never going to get. And if we do, so what? Unbelievable. I left my apt today to go uptown and forget my mask. Bought one for 50 cents at CVS downtown. Saw a guy at the pharmacy section getting a shot. It's easy to learn how to give shots. I know a girl who had to learn when she got a job at the plasma joint in Allentown Pa. I'm picturing ads in the paper for people to learn how to give vaccinations. But some of them sneak poisonous or addicting drugs into the vaccine area, putting all kinds of oddball way-out shit in people's veins, which they probably deserve just for being there.

Nothing has convinced me about the vaccines being any good and I believe there are side effects and it will cause death. So no thanks. This whole thing is a setup. Set us up and bowl us down. We are in a bowling alley and the pin boy is you!

I'd rather be one of the pins. Or all of them. No say in anything. No decision making required. They just set you up and knock you down over and over again for eternity. After a while it begins to feel good in a way that is very hard if not possible to describe.

I don't even care if the vaccine works - which I don't believe is the case. I just don't like loading down the body with a bunch of unproven bullshit designed to stave off death and other naturally occurring stuff. I don't know about intentionally killing us with the vaccine, but I also don't dismiss it. I just don't like the idea of killing off this and that disease with manmade stuff (unless it works and I'm hurting really bad). I am not opposed to meds of choice. Something to relieve the pain or make the bad stuff go away faster. But to saturate the body with a bunch of manmade bullshit over and over again, it kind of reminds me of how cockroaches are nearly immune to RAID and other pesticides because they didn't use vaccines, they sucked it up and came back stronger. They did it for their children. Can't we do the same? I even believe that children of parents taking anti-depressants could become depressed at birth, much like a coke or heroin addict is jonesing for a substance without even knowing what is till they get older. I am not one of these people who thinks the human body is a shrine. Go at it. I am at a point - no exaggeration - that barring really bad emergency type stuff like not being able to breathe or in excruciating pain - I will never go to a doctor again. That's why I want to find out I have cancer, the slow growing type. No bullshit. I'm old. I am going to die. I want to hear them give me an approximate time. Tell me all hope is lost. Only then will I have the hope of living out my final days without thinking about tomorrow and it's endless list of needs.

I have changed my mind about the vaccine. I met a few guys who took the shot and they say they never felt better in their life. "It's not just the virus", one guy said, "it's everything. I haven't been sick from anything ever since I took the shot."

I was about to challenge him. I wanted to ridicule him. But his friends sided with him - guys I've known and trusted a long time - saying, "No really TJ, I can feel it - it's not a narcotic, yet I feel so good I don't even think about using drugs of any kind anymore. No drinking or smoking. I'm telling you "T-Bag" (They called me "T-Bag"), this stuff is where it's at."

So I decided to try it. On their word. I took the shot nearly a month ago.. Not telling you the truth about it has stressed me out big time. Here I am, the world's most honest man, and damn proud of it, living a lie with one of my best friends ever - Ollie! Lying to him every day, telling him I will challenge the vaccine to the very end.

Now I'm telling you Ollie, same as those guys told me - this stuff is where it's at. I don't know what they put in it but I feel great. Every day is like a dream and I'm in control.
