why putting a Comma within 4 zeros (0000) can be useful !

10000 ppl are randomly assigned to 1000 rooms...
---> the Most crowded room is occupied by 22 people.

------vs.------

10,000 ppl are randomly assigned to 1,000 rooms...
---> the Most crowded room is occupied by 22 people.

OTOH ------------ Currently, in European countries except for the United Kingdom, the comma is used as the decimal separator. In the United Kingdom, the raised dot is used, and in the United States, the baseline dot is used.
