OT Kevin McCarthy, the immediate past Speaker of the House, said today
or yesterday that he expected trump to be the next president, and he
wanted him to be.

Some questions I wish reporters would ask Repub. politicians:

Do you think President trump used adequate care in his handing of secret
and top secret documents.

If he says Yes,... So do you use the same standards he does when you
have possession of or have read secret and top secret documents?

If he says his standards are higher/stricter:
If your standards are higher, why do you think trump's standards are
adequate? Are you just being eccentric?

If he says No, Then why do you support someone who mishandles the
nations security?

I'd like to ask a Demoncrap about Bidenomics (not that I'd get an honest answer).

Bidenomics: Americans Falling Behind on Auto Payments at Record Rate, Mass Repossessions Looming

A new snapshot of the struggles of American consumers to keep up with their bills comes from data showing a rise in vehicle owners having trouble making their payments on time.

The rate of subprime interest rate borrowers who are behind 60 days or more on their payments hit 6.11 percent in September, according to Bloomberg.

That’s the highest share who can’t make ends meet since 1994, and up from the 5.93 percent rate at the start of this year.

“The subprime borrower is getting squeezed. They can often be a first line of where we start to see the negative effects of macroeconomic headwinds,” Margaret Rowe, senior director at Fitch, said.

I'm sure Micky and most other people wouldn't care much about Trump at this
point if he was not running for president again, with 58% support from Republicans.
And I would not call this a poor economy. GDP is growing, unemployment
is at historic lows, I see help wanted signs up all over town. Inflation is a problem,
but at least it's headed down and has been cut in half. My biggest concern is
that the FED is overdoing it, going to cause a recession, instead of waiting a
few months to see how what they have already done works.

I certainly would like to see him up against the wall for his handling
of classified documents. If he were anybody else, he'd already be
in prison.

My et al considered people like you.

With the media, it does not depend on which republican is running as
they will down him equally as they did Trump.

Fortunately people are waking up to media bias buy some like micky et
all never will.

Biden had them but did the send in the FBI? No, they allowed Biden's
lawyers to investigate.

Corruption and politicization of the bureaucracy started under Obama and
still persists.

It wasn't really that The Stable Genius _had_ the documents
that got him in hot water - it was his lying, delaying, obstructing
for several months ... Oh - I guess you are blind to that fact ..

I care about everything that affects people, but a) t he economy is
pretty good. For one thing, Biden doesn't lie like trump and claim that
3 new steel plants have opened when in fact there was never even an
agreement to build them.

That's one of the partial truths** Repubs are spreading. The borders
are, in short, partly closed, partly open.

“[H]alf the truth is often a great lie.” wrote Benjamin Franklin in
1758, and it's certainly true here.

The repubs can't even find a Speaker. They have a crew of 8 who are
anti-American and a bunch of others who were complicit in trying to
steal the election, which is also anti-American.

It's many Repubs who are deranged by trump. If you don't despise him,
you are misled by nonsense you read or you are one of those

For the record, I would still want to see him in jail. For stealing the
documents, refusing to return them, lying to the public, lying to the
court, obstruction of justice, and showing them to people unauthorized
included foreigners, 20 years would be right.

And he should be in jail for attempting to steal the election. 40 years
for that but since they may not be able to show that he was the
initiator and constant driving force, I'd setttle for 10. And I've
never believed in concurrent sentences. That's like giving a 50%
discount, for no good reason**

**Maybe if someone is young and you figure the vinegar will be out of
him by the time he's 40, and that's what's important, to keep him from
new crimes, for example for fighting, or even armed robbery, then
concurrent might make sense. But trump will never change so he should
not benefit from concurrent. His sentences should be consecutive.

I don't know how to manage the economy. I'll defer to you and Janet
Yellin, et al.

Brings up another topic that deserves it's own thread.

Odd then that since 1980 there have been 6 terms with Republican presidents
and 5 with Democrats. And no one but Trump is fool enough to give the media
so much to work with. He does it deliberately, then plays the victim to fool
people like you, claiming they are always picking on him for no reason. Did
you see his latest blatant lie? Now that Sidney Powell has plead guilty, Trump
claims she was never his lawyer. This, like so much with mental case Trump
was predictable, it's the old "I don't even know who she is routine" that he
employs when those around him are no longer useful. So, of course the media
knows that's a lie, they easily find where he tweeted in 2020 about his great legal
team for his stolen election BS, he included Powell with Rudy and the others. So
of course the media runs that story, then people like you claim that they are unfairly
picking on poor little Trump.

Just like some will never wake up to what Trump really is and how terribly unfit
he is to be president.

That's not true, the FBI investigated, a special counsel is investigating,
Biden was recently interviewed. And there are huge differences in the two
cases. Biden's lawyers initially found a few and immediately notified the
authorities. The govt picked them up the next day. If you want to make a
fair comparison, a few were also found at Pence's house, immediately
returned, with no charges brought. With Trump, it was NARA that
discovered that he had hundreds of classified documents while trying to
do their job and get other WH records that Trump had no right to keep back.
NARA then tried to get him to return them and the rest of the WH records.
Trump stonewalled, refused even many months later when he knew
it had been referred to DOJ and a grand jury was looking into it. When a
subpoena was issued, Trump engaged in a conspiracy, moving classified
documents around to hide them from his lawyer who was going to do the
search to comply with the subpoena. Only after all of that did the FBI
finally raid the place to get them back. What is that, if not overwhelming
evidence of an arrogant guy with terribly bad judgment. And if he's that
deranged and foolish, clearly he's unfit to be president. But then we've
told you that time and time again.

>
> Corruption and politicization of the bureaucracy started under Obama and

Right, as always that's the problem, not that Trump flagrantly violated the
laws governing the handling of classified documents, put national security
at risk. He also flagrantly violated the Presidential Records Act and still has
the balls to lie about what the PRA is for and why it was put into place. According
to Trump it was put in place so a president can declare anything he wants
as personal and take it. In reality it was put in place after Watergate over
concern that presidential records are govt property, to be preserved for the
American people and history and to prevent a president from taking them.
Trump either didn't read even the very first part of it or as usual is just lying.
Even a moron could understand what it says and the intent.

It actually went on for a year, until the FBI raided the place. About 8 months in
it was widely reported that DOJ was investigating it and a grand jury was looking
at it. About 10 months in a subpoena was issued for the return of all of them
and instead of complying, Trump engaged in a conspiracy to hide them from
his lawyer who Trump knew was going to conduct a search to comply with the
subpoena.

2.4 mil came across this year, through September. 240K in September alone.

Between all the cases, he could very well wind up in jail. Of course it looks
like he's going to win the nomination and he could get elected and pardon himself
and everyone else too, except for the GA election case.

Did you see he's now doing the usual, with Sydney Powell pleading guilty,
Trump now says she was never his lawyer? Media quickly found a tweet
Trump put out in 2020 about his great election fraud legal team, it included
her along with Rudy and the others. She was at the press conferences
the lawyers held, she was there with Rudy at Four Seasons Landscaping,
with dye running down Rudy's face.

The hull of the Titanic was, in short, partly open, partly closed. Nothing to worry about, only a small void. It was just an ice cube. The ship was mostly floating...until it mostly sank.
The captain was baffled, the ship was engineered to be safe and secure. It could have been so much worse if everyone had not been vaxxinated.

Biden still has over a year left to destroy the country, we could find out.

How many were sent back? How many others will be sent back? You don't
say. How many who remain will fill the severe shortage for unskilled
labor here, at least until they learn English.

People who abide by US immigration rules and take years to get a green
card, and perhaps never do because of other things intervening during
that time... they have every reason to be annoyed, angry, outraged at
illegal immigration. For "cutting in line" and probably making it harder
for people to come legally. That is, if there were no illegals, I would
think legal immigration would be increased and probably sped up too.

*They* have reason to be annoyed, but from my pov, and for the same
reasons, whether they know it or not, from the pov of everyone who is
already here, it makes no difference if new residents come legally or
not In fact compared to those who apply at a US consulate and wait in
their homes until their paperwork is approved, those who spend every
penny they have to take the arduous, dangerous, life-threatening 2700
mile trip from Colombia to the US border will on average be
harder-working and more successful by American standards. People who
rage against them are fighting windmills.

>> > What would open look like, if not that?
>> We don't know. 5 million? 10 million?

Many more than that. People who never thought of coming would show up.
Already more come illegally than otherwise would because of all the
Republicans and Trader who keep saying the border is open. Fortunately,
would-be immigrants have other sources of information and they don't all
believe the Republicans and Trader.

Even though this is Cassandra-like speculation, it's good you mention
it. It will encourage everyone to vote for trump and help him win. I'm
sure that's what you want. How do I know? By what you do.

2.3 million were "apprehended" at the border. How many were immediately
returned?

You continue to avoid providing a viable solution.

Why don't you demand those answers of Biden or his puppets? I'd be surprised if
even a few percent were sent back. All they have to do is say asylum, they come in,
get released with a notice to
appear in court in five years, so they are piling up. Your Democrat mayor of NYC
said that the migrant crisis will destroy NYC. Go figure, it's a sanctuary city, they
get free housing, free food, free medical care, refusal to cooperate with ICE.
So they have over 100K in 75 hotels, more arriving daily. Adams won't change any
of that, yet he complains the city is being destroyed. Democrats are a very
strange bunch.

How many who remain will fill the severe shortage for unskilled
> labor here, at least until they learn English.

Most are not permitted to work. And that's irrelevant, we either have an
orderly immigration system where people apply and wait in line or we have
a lib cluster fuck, where they bum rush the border. And what I said would
happen is finally happening. A large and every increasing number are
coming from places other than Mexico or Central America, eg Africa.
Hundreds that are on the terror watch list have been apprehended, we have
no way of knowing how many others waltzed right on in. Do libs need to
see what happened in Israel happen here?

Bingo. Which is why Republicans want this BS ended.

Right and next you'll tell us that you're not in favor of open borders.

Biden has over another year left, at the rate it's been increasing he could get
there yet.

If Trump wins again, it will be on you Democrats. You're just as nuts as the
Trumpers. They insist it has to be Trump. You insist tha it has to be Biden,
even as we see the 80 year old failing at an increasing rate before our eyes.
What's he going to be like in 5 years? But I think there is a good chance that
the Democrats will ditch Biden, one way or another, before the election.

I've provided a viable solution here many times, Republicans would implement it.
Change the BS asylum law so that if there are areas of your own country that are
relatively safe, you can't claim high crime as a reason for asylum. Make it clear
that asylum is for people who are truly being persecuted. Funny thing, the Democrats
wouldn't accept people who were facing genocide, the Jews in WWII, but now all
someone has to do is make some frivolous BS claim and bingo, come right on in.
I'd like to see the circus where this BS is adjudicated, like how does the US prove
whether or not some ahole has really been subjected to gang violence in Venezuela
or Somalia? Of course it doesn't much matter, the ahole just doesn't show up in court
five years in the future.

And neither is the fact that their own country is economically disadvantaged
an excuse either. That's what the regular immigration line that honest people
are waiting for years in is for. Make it so you have to apply while still in your own
country. If you enter illegally, you're barred from applying for legal entry for ten years or
forever. Enter illegally once, you get deported, enter illegally again you get a
year in jail. End sanctuary cities, have all law enforcement cooperate with ICE.
Have guest worker permits for a limited number to come in for two years. Bush,
the last US president with the balls to actually propose immigration reform
had that as part of it. It's not rocket science.
