There's a big difference between employees being forced to work
in unsafe workplaces - to pay the rent and feed their families -
and millionaire athletes choosing to do so.

The big difference is not the millionair athletes as I doubt some of the
line men do not make all that much. It is the multimillion that others
get like the owners and advertising.

I do not think they pay the college or high school players anything.
There was a push to pay the college players but I am not interisted in
watching sports so did not keep up with that move.

The minimum salary for an NFL player is currently $750,000.

We really have screwed up priorities in this country.

Not too bad for the amount of time they work. Found out that some of
the TV shows like Wheel of fortune film about 5 half hour shows in one
day. They can do a whole year in a few weeks and get paid a few
million.

Match game recorded 10 shows (two weeks worth) on a saturday,
every other week. (Rayburn flew in from the east coast).

That's why the guests change every two broadcast weeks. They
all change clothes between each episode, even the contestants.

I was backstage at NBC in Burbank while they were recording
Wheel of Fortune back in the mid 80's. Was checking out
the new central control room for the west coast just before
they switched over to it. Two weeks later the guy with the
BB gun walked on to the news set during broadcast and threatened
David Horowitz.
