I know they're largely disposable. I bought the current one in May of 2019 so I've got more than the expected use. But, is it broken?

Normally in rainy periods it comes on a lot, but it hasn't been doing that lately. If I turn it off and on again it will blow for about 3 minutes and quit.

That's not the normal failure mode. Usually mine keep running but just stop dehumidifying.

Any easy way to check a bad sensor? Humidity sensors are notoriously unstable. I have it set to 45% which is as low as it goes.

Usually those displays show the set humidity and the actual, either with a dual display or
maybe it shows the actual and switches to the set when you press the up or down button?
Filter isn't clogged?

Good catch. I'd forgotten how that worked. It shows the actual, and the setting with the up down buttons. I found I could set it to 35%, and it came on. (My little temperature humidity checker says 53% in the room, though I know those aren't accurate either. I should probably just buy a good sling psychrometer but they are pricey).

It hasn't produced any water yet, so I'll see what happens. It may have a sensor that reads low, but that doesn't mean the rest of it works. I often find that fixing one fault on something means only that you found that fault, not that it's really fixed.
