China has gained a lot of knowledge from seeing and watching how the
International Space Station has it, in the past 19 years of operation.

Hence it is no surprise to see China has more advanced technology included
to theirs. In any case, in the early part of 19 years ago, some or most of
efficient technology may not be invented yet.

Hence the advanced technology is not available at that time to improve on
the International space station. Also, it is harder or impossible to replace
a old technology to a new technology in space.
