access to it

I recall speculation at the time that an electric car fire might have started
it, but I don't recall seeing that being determined to have been the cause,..

Yes, transport of hydrogen and high pressure required since you cannot
carry as liquid and you cannot carry much of it. You could use
hydrocarbons like methanol but then there is that dreaded green house
gas byproduct.

Usually there is no wait at a gas pump but if so it is only a few
minutes. One guy ahead at a charging station could take a half hour and
then another half hour to charge.

Natural gas is widely available and we has tons
of it in reserve. Plus we have tons of infrastructure
and it is cheap. It would also make for a great
FCEV (fuel Cell Electric vehicle). But we have to
get past the Lysenkoists and their virtue signaling
over CO2.
Funny how the Lysenkoists don't seem to mind the
CO2 and other actual real pollution that BEV's
(Battery Electric Vehicles) create from the Coal
they burn to charge them with. Not to mention
the damage to the planet mining metals for their
batteries. More virtue signaling and some
extreme short shortsightedness.
And you know what, ICE (Internal Combustion Engines)
are getting better all the time.

charged in your garage. And BEV's do spontaneously
catch fire even when they are not being charged.
And you are not fueling up a n ICE car inside your
