The littoral combat ships have a lot of mechanical failures and many of
which cannot be refitted. The ship is crowded with many failures, the crews
cannot handle it.

When it was promoted as a coastal combat ship, a few countries also built
their own similar, too. But the high maintenance costs is bringing down the
the littoral fleet.

When it was built and presented to the world, one could see it as a over
crowded ship crews to man the ship. The low height of the ship made life
miserable to the crews.

After 11 years, they rather scrap it than renovate the ship. This speak
volume of tit.

The littoral ship is for short travel of shallow coastal water and hence
is not suited for long coastal travel from one place to another.This is
because the engine is over run and hence overheated.

The air conditioning system in the ship could not cope with the
air-exchanges from external heat and humidity and the constant indoor
air-conditioning setting.

Hence the conditioning and engine required more maintenance. The small
coastal ship is not suited to deep blue sea waters.

When travelling from bases in US or Guam or Okinawa, the crews in the
ship cannot withstand long journey of rough seas.

The ship is too small for such purpose.The American crews manning this
kind of small ship get tired of the cramped conditions in operation.

They face hot tropical sun and cannot endure the hot and humid weather
for very long.

Hence Americans cannot fight nor win their fight in the south east Asia
region.

Just look at the Vietnam war, the Americans till now knew the war caused
them thousands of Americans killed and maimed.

The majority of the Asean countries are not aligned with US for the
patrol of their coastal areas.

It is futile for US litter ship to spend their tax payer money on such
onerous mundane and costly activity all year round.

Ships have to be somewhere and ships crews require training and
constant revision so no matter what they do or where the tax payers coin
is going to be used !
