The two best DIRECT pieces of evidence for an
Afterlife are claims of reincarnation and ghosts.
belief in & testimony of both are known to stretch
back well within ancient times and were probably
already old before the invention of writing.

Ever hear of the Dalai Lama? Did you think he was
the only religious figure to be appointed after
passing a reincarnation test? And did you think
that Tibet has the only culture with a belief in
reincarnation?

Part of the problem with reincarnation stories is
that they are stories. But if you accept any as true
then they are so remarkable as to open anyone to
the idea...

And ghosts?

Ghosts are so common that many people have
ghost "Encounters" and don't even know it! Or at
least won't accept it.

Probably the single most common "Ghost"
experience would be the sensation of someone
(or something) resting on your bed when you're
sleeping. Yes there are explanations for this --
sleep paralysis being chief amongst them -- but
there's no "Proof" for anything... not even proof
of a rational explanation!

Think about it: If someone had the experience
of an unseen person/force resting on their bed
as they slept, and there was equipment that
registered no such pressure on the mattress
even though it would be capable of detecting
same, if it existed, that would strongly support
sleep paralysis. But I've never seen any such
"Evidence," have you?

Explanation != Evidence

There's also indirect evidence of an Afterlife,
such as evidence for the divine. We could
say that such evidence is "Consistent with"
claims of an afterlife, though not directly
pointing to such.
