Confirm an international match is to be broadcast (6)

I get “Confirm” and “an international match” but not why “is to be broadcast” seems to mean “embed an extra ‘T’.

Can anyone help?

I would guess that...

A TEST is a homophone ('is to be broadcast') of ATTEST ('confirm').
