Boston Dynamics reveals new 'terrifying' Atlas robot after
retiring legendary humanoid known for dancing and parkour

Boston Dynamics' latest humanoid robot moves like nothing
you've seen before

The new Atlas will eventually be sold for use in factories,
where it will carry parts

.. . .

They've got the motions down SMOOTH now - and it's
double-jointed.

Now just plug-in Chat5+ and ....

I saw a vid a few weeks ago with Chat 4.5 being
given a 'body' - upper half anyhow - and asked a
lot of questions, asked to do a variety of tasks,
and then asked to explain why it did what it did.
VERY worrisome ... could probably replace a lot
of assembly-line workers already.

Now blend it with the BD body and, well, you've
got a lot MORE 'replacement workers' who won't
unionize or demand more perks or need insurance.
Recent news on terahertz data links that can "bend"
around obstacles and have 100+ times the data
cap of 5G means such bots COULD be free on the
streets, using 6G phone links for support.

Now you have real RoboCops - or Terminators.
Five, maybe ten, years maybe and the entirety of
Chat5/6+ could be entirely INTERNAL ... no external
support needed at all. New/better chip tech is
on the way - Real Soon - an order of magnitude
or more faster on a quarter of the power. Massive
investments are fueling this.

Just gonna guess - by Chat5.5 you really won't be
able to discern a bot from a human short of some
really tricky lines of questioning. If you can
fake something WELL ENOUGH ... um ... it really
isn't "fake" anymore - simply "by alternate means".
Then the civil-rights courts get involved (should
be warming-up ALREADY imho ...)
