There's money to be made with all that scampering about. Our boarder,
Tom, makes decent money on Fridays just by turning lights on and off,
pushing elevator buttons, and plugging in and turning on vibrators for
the ladies. Those poor women have no idea what they're missing.

Forget about the Jews for a minute. Take any religion. Don't you think it's foolish to believe in an almighty God only to try to trick him at every turn. In a way it reminds me of murder for hire. Who's more guilty, the person who does the hit or the person who pays for it? God's rule says no lights on after sundown. But some smart people - and they say Jews are the smartest - have figured a way to get past it. Get someone else to do it. I told this to a Jew once and he admitted I was right but reminded me that although we are made in the image of God we really don't know him. How do we know he doesn't respect people who try to break his rules in ingenious ways? It's God's fault for leaving the door open a crack. But seriously, don't these God fearing people know it's impossible to trick God? But as I said, it's a boring universe, especially for a big man like God - so maybe sometimes he enjoys it when people try to fool him. In fact, some theorize that that's why God made up rules in the first place, to see who was bold enough to try and almost smart enough to get away with it. As a result he adores the Jews.

At first I thought you meant the Jews who own the bars and other late-nite trouble-causing establishments saw the dark closing in and knew things were about to get rowdy, so they took the absentee landlord route. They don't work the carnival, they own it. They run it. But they don't hang around. I read about these super rich who want immortality using genetics and technology. The transhumanism bunch. So only assholes will live forever. Sounds like a good time.

I think it is normal to want to be left alone. Not to join groups willy nilly. Strivers are the ones running around wanting to be in charge. I am not and will not be a striver. I been striving for it a long time.

Yes, we are striving for the right to not have to strive any more. Like the celebs who appear on talk shows and talk about how much they love what they do, especially the comics. "Man, COVID tore us apart. I really missed that audience. Zoom was nice but it's not the same. Give me that stage any time."

But they are on the talk show to promote their latest film along with a possible TV show in the making. The host hears him say he loves doing standup, town to town, stage to stage - being there, doing it, living it, sucking it up. "Do you really love it that much?", he asks the comic.

No matter what happens with my career - my writing, my producing, my acting, hopefully one day my directing, everything I put into making me what I am today - no matter how far I go in any one direction I will never stray too far from the stage. I would think doing a long running Broadway show would get to be a drag. But as long as it is a steady paycheck I guess it is ok.

I was into theater as a teen. Did High school plays. But later I got tired of it. The theater is too gay. I perfer performing live.

Yeah, I know you were into taking acting classes, etc. I probably would have done the same if they'd had them at my school. Then again, maybe not. I didn't like school period, so the chances of me joining in any part of it would be remote.

I am good live performer. And I say that modestly. But I like the concept of moving pictures more than anything, even more than writing. It is writing. I thought about it last night watching Dragnet, the dialogue, the quick cuts, lots of good editing. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. If it's true, and I don't doubt it, than a really well made motion picture story has to be better than a book. I have never held a motion camera in my life but I have always known I would be a spectacular director, and an even more spectacular director supervisor. I wouldn't actually direct. I would tell the director what I want. If I have to go through 100 directors to finish the project I'm going to do it. Why? Because I'm the best who ever lived. Not saying you're not great. I'm not competing. I can't help it, I just know I should be making motion picture stories. But I don't have the equipment and I don't want into show biz as it stands today because frankly it is beneath me.

What a whory business it is. A guy makes a commercial for some product he would not only never use, it's something he literally despises. But he is elated. He managed to land a gig. I understand, he's excited, he sees the start of a big career. For a while he's all blown up, feeling really good about things. The commercial comes on no matter where he is he goes, "Shhhhh, there I am - see, there I am." He is enthralled and is considered some kind of success because he managed to land a commercial. I understand, he feels great about it. But that commercial turns out to be the highlight of his acting careers. He manages to do a few other things, extra work, etc, but in the end he's just a worker for life - and later looking back he wonders if things maybe would have turned out better if he had not allowed himself to get sucked in by that God damn commercial.
