DIRECT action by Iran has been rare. It prefers
to work through unaccountable proxies. If this
is changing then we're entering a dangerous new
period.

Direct attacks BY Iran require direct attacks ON
Iran to preserve the balance.

Iran has become considerably more powerful and
sophisticated than western pols/MSM prefer to
lead us to believe. It is very likely a covert
nuclear power by now and was a heavy contributor
to NKs designs. It can make ICBMs and highly
accurate guided/cruise missiles. The stuff it's
been selling to Russia is the bottom of the barrel -
which is all Russia needs right now, but do not
be fooled.

Western 'sanctions' (mixed with huge cash
pay-offs/bribes) have only made Iran stronger
and far more self-reliant. Oh, and every
internal 'revolt' has been brutally put down
by the Holy Rollers. Can't get traction there.

Reports yesterday that the Iranian navy, such
as it is, just received a big shipment of
domestically-produced anti-air/ship missiles
of high quality. Yea, there are probably some
Chinese and Russian bits in them, but Iran
has become extremely good at the do-it-yourself
industry.

Do NOT under-rate Iran as a foe. It actually
CAN close FOUR important sea routes, at least
for long enough to do a LOT of damage in these
fiscally-iffy times. Gibraltar, Suez, Hormuz and
the western Indian Ocean - they are VERY important.

Terabucks involved. Already Suez is effectively
closed - shipping companieS and insurers won't
go there anymore despite "protection" promises.
Expect a thirty-percent+ increase in prices for
a lot of goods in the EU/UK from now into spring
and maybe beyond.
