A purist might quibble about "agitated" doing two jobs in this clue but I think it is OK and the clue works nicely.

Nice misdirection with "gun" which took me a moment to make the connection, and the link from wordplay to definition is very good.

I didn't know V = violent although guessed it could be to do with ratings. Most interesting wordplay of all the clues here and the surface works fine.
