Brazil, Argentina, Columbia, even Uruguay now - not to mention
central America - Covid has DESTROYED what excuses for
economies they had just a year ago. The cupboards are bare,
the infrastructure is imploding, no jobs, almost no meds left,
Ongoing violent flaming riots in Columbia now - lots killed -
and recent events in Brazil point to a govt in panic and a
people being pushed over the edge.

Didn't matter if they took the "what, me worry ?" approach
of Brazil, the careful approach of Uruguay or something in
the middle - Covid has killed them all. These countries were
always holding on by a shoestring, and Covid snapped it.

Besides the vast human tragedy unfolding, consider what
it means for the USA/Canada. Thought the refugee flow
from central America was bad ? Now add all of S.America
to that equation.

Six months or so, Joe will be building Trumps wall even
HIGHER ....... the USA simply cannot cope with this. It
will be WAY too many, WAY too fast - with the cartels
directing the disaster movie. We can't even help S.A.
much with money or food ... the scale is far too great,
an entire continent in free-fall.

What did anyone expect? Everyone was warned for years and
years. Perhaps some reforms will come from this.

Besides, this is how Mother Nature deals with over population.
Population always increases faster than resources to care for
the population.

Reform? Perhaps, just perhaps.
