I saw this on a subtitle for a CNN article, but this is where I found it
in text:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FBI_search_of_Mar-a-Lago
"Over 11,000 government documents, totaling about 200,000 pages, were
recovered.[5][10][11] They included nuclear-related information and FBI,
CIA, and NSA information about national security interests. Of these
documents, 325 were classified: 184 handed over in January 2022, 38
turned over under subpoena in June 2022, and 103 seized in the August
search of Mar-a-Lago.[4][12][9]"

So though 11,000 documents sound like an awful lot, documents averaged
18 pages long and 200,000 pages of paper were taken illegally!!!!!
That's sounds even harder to explain.

200,000 pages were recovered. It's possible that more were taken
illegally and stored elsewhere.

One irrefutable aspect to this is that it again demonstrates that something is seriously
wrong with Trump, he continues to exercise extremely poor and bizarre judgement.
Not only was it incredibly irrational and stupid to take these documents, he resisted the
government efforts to get them back for over a year and it took a search warrant to
finally retrieve them.

Please don't give Qanon and Trump more ideas for crazy conspiracy nonsense.
Speaking of which, I see Marjorie Greene was front and center with Kevin McCarthy
when he made his big speech about what the GOP will do if they take control of
Congress. Another good example of what's gone so very wrong. I would not allow
that Qanon crazy anywhere near me.

It's possible that the contents of those folders are among the other
classified documents that were retrieved. I can't imagine that people
who would throw classified documents in a box with Trump's news
clippings would be meticulous about keeping documents and their folders
together.

We'll probably never know. (And when I say "we" I mean the Justice
Department, Defense, Homeland, or other agencies who have ownership
of those classified docs.)

Perhaps people should have fear of his as he still has a lot of
influence over the loony far right. He backs nut jobs like MTG and the
Q-anon gang.

Trump said he likes the stupid people and they do follow him and believe
him. He ruined the Republican Party. He can still cause damage.

He shoulda scanned the documents and stored them on Hillary's super secure private email server.

He didn't do this alone. He didn't pack, carry or hide the boxes himself.

Other people aided and maybe even abetted. That "seriously wrong with"
applies to others within his sphere of influence.

To quote you from your earlier ramblings: "<chuckle chuckle>"

Where's your credible cite for the alleged "planting"?

You want to talk about someone living in heads?

You're the one with Trump flags.

Where does the buck stop?

Trump traveled with boxes of random documents. He personally threw
stuff into boxes regardless of whether it was classified, newspaper
clippings, or anything else. Then those boxes were loaded onto AF1.
Then what happened to them? Nobody knows. His staff probably doesn't
know.

He tore up, flushed, and reportedly ate documents that should have been
preserved.

He's careless with the country's property, and he set the tone for his
staff. Sure, prosecute the lot of them, but don't forget that the fish
rots from the head.

Because he attempted a coup, tried to deny the votes of the American
people and wants to come back and do even more damage to our democracy?
Because he's a malignant narcissist, that is incapable of making the
reasonable sound judgments required of a president as demonstrated by
his latest stupid act with illegally taking these documents, resisting all
reasonable efforts over a year by the government to get them back, then
lying about it, trying to blame the government, claiming they planted them?
Because the next stupid act if he is elected again could be nuclear war?

And don't try

He needs to be discredited. He does a great job of that himself.
It's just that you cultists excuse every damn stupid thing he does. He's got
you fooled and he knows it. He was right when he claimed that he could shoot
someone on Fifth Ave and you'd still love him. In essence, he told you that
you're stupid, that he's got you conned and he knows it. He's been playing
you ever since.

I'm no fan of Biden, but that doesn't change who and what Trump is.

You'll believe anything, won't you? What's next, aliens did it? The FBI was
not caught planting anything, there is no video showing anything of the sort.
There is a track record going back since the time Trump left office showing
attempts by the National Archives to get the documents. They made repeated
and escalating attempts to get them back for over a year, from simply asking
for them, to threatening a referral to DOJ, to making the referral, to forming a
grand jury that issued a subpoena. Trump resisted, lied, obfuscated. His lawyer
responded back to that subpoena saying that everything had been handed over.
It ended with a search warrant and FBI raid that produced hundreds of thousands
of pages of documents, including many documents clearly marked as classified
at the highest classification level.

Trump then proceeded to come up with a series of lies. Starting with the FBI
planted them. Then it was that the government could have had them back at
any time, all they had to do was ask. Then it was that Trump declassified them.
When it became clear that never happened, there was no record of it, Trump claimed
that he declassified them just by thinking about it. Note that some of those are
mutually incompatible, is it that the FBI planted them or Trump took them, but had
declassified them? Not that declassifying them even matters, they are still government
property. And also note that these lies are only told by Trump to the public, to fool
the gullible like you. His lawyers have been prodded to make those claims in court,
they have refused to do so, because there are criminal penalties for lying to the court,
the lawyers could be disbarred. But Trump can say whatever he wants, lie to you
all day, there is no penalty. Usually there is, that people having been lied to a few times,
stop believing the liar. But somehow with Trump, the more he lies, the more blatant it
is, the more people like you believe him and support him.

The question you should be asking yourself as an American is why did Trump take
them? What was the motive, what was he planning on doing with them? The reasonable
conclusion is that he intended to divulge them to anyone and everyone where doing so
could be used to benefit Trump.

This is true. It's like with so many other things he did, like the big election lie and
trying to stage the coup. There were many people who told him the truth, gave him
sound advice, told him the law, but he rejected it and instead went with the loons like
Rudy and Pillowhead that were telling him what he wanted to hear. Then there are
aholes like Mark Meadows that knew what Trump was doing was wrong, but just
enabled him.

I just read an article outlining the document scandal and it's similar. By the spring
there had been reports that this had become very serious, that DOJ was on this,
that a grand jury was starting to look at it. Then the president of Judicial Watch
showed up at Mar a Lago and advised Trump to just
refuse to hand over any more documents. Trump then hardened his position,
listened to him and advised his lawyers that they should be briefed by the JW guy,
who isn't even a lawyer. I think one key difference this time is that unlike Trump's
prior brushes with the law, this one is extremely well documented, with Trump's
hands all over it for more than a year. And with him no longer president, unable to
give pardons, clearly on the ropes and flailing away with ridiculous lies that make
no sense, it seems far more unlikely that people around him that told him what he
was doing was wrong and illegal, will lie and try to cover up for him when questioned
by the FBI, DOJ and called to court. Trump's strategy appears to be to try to delay it
and hope that a Republican is in the WH in a couple years to let him off. Another
strategy could be to announce he's running for president again and then hope that
the government won't proceed because it's too charged politically or if they do,
that he's in a better position to get a jury with at least one Trumptard on it.

I'd like to see that too. Trump's defense has been all over the place. FBI planted
it. Next it was that while president I had issued an order declassifying it all.
Eighteen former high level WH staff refuted that, saying they never heard of any
such order. Then the defense was that he declassified them by just thinking about
it in his head. Trump's lawyers have not made any of those claims in court,
because they know it's all BS and it's a crime to lie to the FBI, lying in court can
get you disbarred. Trump has no such constraints, so he lies freely and the
gullible believe, no matter how pathetically stupid the lies are.

I 100% agree that the buck stops with him. That wasn't my point.

I was simply "expanding" on trader's comment that there is something
seriously wrong with Trump. There is also something seriously wrong
with so many that support him, worship him, enable him.

They should all go to jail for the shit they've pulled and are still pulling,
starting with him, but not stopping with him.
