is he became, his transgressions don't warrant eternal damnation in
Hell. What he does deserve is a few thousand years in purgatory. You
don't hear too much about purgatory these days. It's gotten a bad rap

I myself am a limbo dude. Purgatory is cool too. Like Heaven is cool too, but it can be so confining. I mean like once you're in there's like no getting out, it's heaven forever. You can't even sin in heaven no matter how hard you try. Hell is forever too. And it's worse - way worse. But both Heaven and Hell are confining in their own way while Purgatory and Limbo are more alive in the sense that you don't know for sure what's coming next or when it's going to happen. There is life in that mystery. So to linger between Heaven and Hell is truly ideal if you go for the Heaven/Hell concept to begin with. Being in Limbo or Purgatory is like living in a bus or train station all your life. You know you want to go to either Pennsylvania or New York, but that requires making a decision. Not always easy to do.. Another chore. So you hang out in the station a while - a good while, like 100 years or so (not that time even matters) - and become so accustomed to it that you never want to leave, to get on that bus or that train or that jet, you just want to stay where you're at between two destinations you'd prefer more and more as time goes by to not take any chances on.

We don't know what Lennon may or may not have done in his short life to warrant eternal damnation. I'm not saying he deserves it, only that we don't know everything he ever did in his life, and maybe some of it was really bad. I mean beyond killing. He could have been a bad man. A very bad man.
