The New York-based dance writer, historian, and poet Jack Anderson, who died in hospital on 20 October 2023, at the age of 88. He had been in poor health for several years, and his death was announced by the dance writer George Dorris, his husband and life partner of 58 years, with whom he co-founded Dance Chronicle magazine (1978–2007).
