The situation of "Two hostile populations trying to exist on the same
piece of land" has happened many times before (obviously). I only
know of two occasions when that has been resolved amicably.

This Israeli Peace Negotiator remembers back to one of them, and
it was only a short while ago. The others anybody?

I don't think you will get this one:
