What's with Paypal. I subscribed to Nat. Geographic for $19 ($10 more
after the first year) and they charged me 20.14.

And even though I can go to my profile page there and I'm subscribed,
when they send a link to a story and I click on it, it wants me to
subscribe and there is nowhere on the story's page to log in.

I might dispute the charge with PayPal and cancel the god damn
subscription and see what they do.

I believe you have a right to cancel. You have a credit card attached
to your PayPal account? You could take it up with the credit card
company, too.

Many states now charge sales tax on magazines.

It used to be rare -- I was shocked when I had to pay a few cents tax
on a magazine or newspaper during a long-ago visit in Virginia.

PayPal is very good at responding to questions like this. Log into
your PayPal account and chat online with them or call them and speak
directly with a PayPal agent.

They've recently made some changes. It may be that Bank of America
has added a fee, but PayPal will explain the additional $1.14.
