Matthews seems to kill more people than Friday. But it's the type Matthews is getting - desperate "come and get me copper, you'll never take me alive" types. Highway Patrol was on in the 50s. Lots of guys we saw regularly only a few short years later on the Zone and Hitchcock and other stuff were not seen on Highway Patrol. But last night I saw a young version of a guy I saw on later shows whose name I can't recall. But other than that it was probably the cheapest made cop type show of it's time with Peter Gunn giving it a run for it's money at times.
