On the FT's front page today, the leading article is about heatwaves in
Europe ("Heatwaves are becoming more common in all parts of the world,
but Europe is warming faster than average...").

Bottom right is an advert for private-jet charter.

How many private charter flights does it take to create as much
pollution as sending one billionaire into space?

Private jets are an important source of CO2.
Some milions of tons, for Europe alone
It is the most wasteful form of transport ever.

OTOH, one billionaire in space is an insignificant amount by comparison.
(as long as they don't make an industry out of it)
For comparison, even a Saturn Moon rocket
burned 'only' about 500 tons of kerosine.

His private jet will produce more,

Jan
