No, they were good at killing those who would not convert to become second class chaps; rather, boil and eat the pestering Protestant.
Not these days, of course. That strategy will not do any more.

Still, the Protestants had one good point about them.

That was the reason for their success in India.

The sepoys the East India Company hired were paid regularly and somewhat better than native rulers, so they were more happy.
When their conditions worsened (stagnant pay, no promotions, humiliations) they created a revolt.
Since the Protestants are good at killing, the native sepoys lost.

Still, over time the Hindus learnt how to fight and kill, thanks to the Protestant rule.
Which was something the Pakistanis overlooked, when they wanted to reassert Islamic rule over India.
