How do you know that the dog is limber, and not the tail? [Comment savez-vous que le chien est souple, et non la queue?]

Oh, I'm no expert. My knowledge can be summed up in one Boolean expression:

IF (dog barks) AND (tail wags) THEN (both in good condition).
