Speaking about spittoons, when Andrew Jackson got in office he of course had rural beginnings and so he was sitting there in the White House living room and he spits over on the carpet and the butler comes over and put the spittoon there and then he spits over on the other side of the carpet and the butler put the spittoon over there and then it goes on for a third time he spits again and the butler puts the spittoon there so Andrew Jackson finally said "you get that spittoon out of the way or else I gonna spit right in it!!!"

I made a serious mistake here , Andrew Jackson did not said "get that spittoon out of the way " , what he really said was "get that damn thing out of the way " because he didn't even know what a spittoon was.
